My Biography

My name is Lynne Pedersen, and I am a self-representing artist presently living near St. Augustine, Florida. My husband Frank and I live with our 17-year-old Flame Point Egyptian Siamese Cat and our 6-year-old Black Tailed American Prairie Dog.

I have had an interest in visual arts since I was a child. From a very young age, I discovered that I loved to draw, and my teachers praised my ability to draw virtually anything. I sketched in pencil, pen and ink, charcoal and pastels and also painted in watercolors, acrylics and oils.

My artistic passion thrived as I grew up in a family full of artists. My father is skilled at drawing and my mother designed jewelry. My sister was incredible at ceramics and got me into that and that's where I found sculpting to be my love of all the Arts. My Grandfather Painted The Masters with ease, and Last but not least I must give Mad Props to my Brother In Law Charlie for his expertise in the craftiness of the English Language.
Thanks so much Charlie for your help with the text on my site.

I attended Trident College in Charleston South Carolina, and am three classes shy of a Bachelor’s degree in Commercial Graphics. I also have diplomas in Airbrushing, Advanced Airbrushing and Advertising and Design.

I first became hooked on polymer clay about ten years ago. I was at a Michael’s crafts store in New Port Richey, Florida, and decided to buy some polymer clay. After experimenting with the clay, making incense burners and hippie mushrooms, I realized that this was a new and fun creative outlet.

Over the past year I’ve begun sculpting one-of-a-kind (or OOAK) art dolls. I have always loved mythological creatures—dragons, gargoyles, trolls, monsters, mermaids and especially fairies and pixies. My love of fantasy led to my decision to create miniature and one-of-a-kind art dolls.

. The first doll I ever sculpted was a fairy that I gave to my sister. The doll itself could have used some help, but her  wings were spectacular (if I don't say so myself!).

As you have probably guessed by now, I have a passion for art! I have always found that my soul is calmed by art. I do appreciate art in ALL its forms, though I generally prefer to be creating art rather than simply admiring it. I really enjoy creating, and can create something out of anything I can get my hands on!

I specialize in creating figurative contemporary and fantasy art doll sculptures. Each creation is individually hand-sculpted and uniquely designed. All of my sculptures are created without the use of molds. They are not dolls a child can play with, but each sculpture is created to bring joy to its owner for many many years to come.

I do accept commission work and custom orders. If you are  interested, please just feel free to contact me via email and I will send you more information.

I hope you enjoy the site and my work.

Thank you for coming.
